Error:
"The modem does not exist, is not plugged in, or is out of service." #3
The modem type specified
in the Modems control panel does not match the modem specified in the Dial-up
Networking connection.
- Double-click the My
Computer icon.

- Double-click the Dial-Up
Networking folder.

- Click the BICnet icon.

- From the File menu,
choose Properties.
- From the Connect using
list, choose your modem.
- Click the Server type
button.

- Uncheck Log on to
network.
- Uncheck NetBEUI.
- Uncheck IPX/SPX Compatible.
- Click
the OK button.

- Click the OK button.
