How to upload files to your personal web page

  1. Click the New button.
  2. In the Profile Name text box, type BICnet
  3. In the Host Name/Address text box, type ftp.bicnet.net
  4. For the Host Type select Automatic detect.
  5. In the User ID text box, type your username
  6. In the Password text box, type your password.
  7. Check the Save Pwd check box.
  8. Click the OK button.



  9. On the left side, locate the files that you want to upload.
  10. On the right, locate where you want to up load them to. On the right side there should be a folder labeled public_html. If there is not, click the MkDir button on the right side. When it asks you to name the directory, type public_html.
  11. Double click the public_html folder to open it.
  12. Locate the file on the left that you want to upload. Click it once, so that it is highlighted
  13. Click the right arrow that is between the two windows. This will move a copy of the file from the Local System ( Your computer ) to the Remote System ( The BICnet Computer)
  14. Make sure that the first page of your web site is titled index.html


  15. To delete a file from the BICnet computers, select the file in the Remote System window and click the Delete button on the right side.
