Windows NT 4.0 Dial-Up Connection

Make sure that Service Pack 3 is installed on your system.

1.) From the Start Button select Programs, Accessories, Dial-Up Networking. You will see a screen similar to the one below. Click New to create a new entry. The Phonebook Entry Wizard will start.

2.) Type in BICnet then click next.

3.) Check off I am calling the Internet, and Send my plain text password. Click Next.

4.) Enter the phone number that you were given when you signed up. Click Next.

5.) Click Finish, this will return you to the phonebook window.

6.) Click on More, then select Edit entry and modem properties. Click on the Server Tab. Make sure that Enable PPP LCP extensions is NOT selected.

7.) Click the TCP/IP Settings button. Make your screen look like the one below. Then click OK.

8.) Click the Scripts Tab. Click None.

9.) Click on the Security tab and make sure that Accept any authentication is selected. Click OK.

10.) After rebooting. Start Dial-Up Networking and press the Dial button. You will be presented with a Connect to window, in which you are prompted for your login information. Enter your Dial-Up Name (make sure to add the @bicnet.net) and password. Make sure the Domain entry is blank. If you don't want to see this window every time you dial in, check the Save Password box. Click OK.

Congratulations Dial-Up Networking should be completely configured.
